Meta taps Indian startup founder to solve WhatsApp's revenue puzzle

With well over half a billion daily users, WhatsApp's base in India is roughly five times larger than the messaging service's next-largest market, Brazil. Hiring an Indian executive to lead the platform makes sense, said Tarun Pathak, research director at Counterpoint Research.
