Global Smartphone Gross Profit Tracker by Brand, Q1 2026
Overview
Global smartphone OEMs’ gross profit increased 9.5% YoY in Q1 2026, marking the highest gross profit ever recording in Q1. The positive change was supported by a strong ASP increase, up 13% YoY, also the highest ever for a Q1, and the second highest in a quarter since Q4 2025.
Gross margin (GM%) was flat as compared to Q1 2025, at 28%. However, much of the GM resilience is driven by another blockbuster quarter by Apple. Outside of Apple, every major OEM saw margin contraction as compared to the year ago quarter.
