India Quarterly Handset Outlook 2021 Dec
Overview:
India’s smartphone shipments grew 11% YoY to reach 169 million units in 2021. The Indian Smartphone ended 2021 with highest ever shipments and retail revenue. Even with component shoratges that escalated during the quarter, the demand remained strong and the market performed as expected in Q4 2021 ending the year with 44 million units, in line with the forecasted 45 million.
The Indian Smartphone Market will grow by 14% in 2022 to reach 191.8 million units and will further grow by 12% in 2023 and cross the 200mn mark.
