AMD’s Ryzen 9000 desktop processors, which were launched at the Computex 2024 held in Taiwan, are now globally available, including in India. Our Global Content Manager, Ritesh Bendre, attended the India launch event and had the opportunity to sit with Srinivas Reddy, Country Manager for Sales and Distribution at AMD India. • The processors are widely available through retail channels, including large retailers and e-commerce portals, but mostly via mom-and-pop stores.

• The AMD Ryzen 9000 series is commendable compared to the previous generation. It offers a powerful balance of performance and efficiency, particularly for multi-threaded tasks like content creation, gaming, and professional workloads.
• Intel in the past had an edge in single-threaded performance, which is key to gaming. However, AMD's Ryzen 9000 has closed this gap, and could ideally fully catch up with optimizations for next-gen games.
