MEA Smartphone Market Report, Q1 2023
Overview
Smartphone shipments in MEA declined 8% YoY but was flat QoQ in Q1 2023. There are signs of the market bottoming out as demand starts to rebound. Nevertheless, OEMs continue to exercise caution and focusing on destocking efforts. Most OEMs started 2023 in a low gear, keeping a tight leash on sell-in, while increasing focus on developing partnerships with carriers and distributors and better device financing options to improve product availability and accessibility.
