Overview

This report from Counterpoint’s Market Monitor service highlights the regional revenues and ASPs for 42 brands in the smartphone segment. These 42 brands together capture close to 95% of the total market by revenues.

Summary:

Global smartphone revenues grew 8% YoY in Q1 2026, despite a decline in shipments. The market was pressured by rising Bill of Materials (BOM) costs and a severe memory shortage, which weighed shipments, but price increase and premium demand drove ASP.

Apple’s revenue climbed 22% YoY in Q1 2026, registering the fastest growth among the top five smartphone brands while also hitting a first-quarter record high, driven by sustained demand for the base iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Among regions, China continues to lead the market with a 28% revenue share.

All regions recorded revenue growth despite decline in shipments however, Middle East & Africa (MEA) was the fastest growing recording 18% YoY growth.
