India Monthly Smartphone Model Tracker (Online Channels), December 2025

0
February 10, 2026

Overview

India smartphone market declined ~1% YoY in December 2025, reflecting a seasonally weak period. Elevated memory prices remained a key headwind, putting pressure on device pricing and softening consumer demand. vivo (excluding iQOO) led the market with a 24% share in December 2025, growing 15% YoY. The Y series continued to drive momentum, supported by strong offline traction and a strong mainline promoter network, which has consistently been a key strength, while attractive year-end offers further strengthened retail conversions and brand visibility. Samsung also recorded double-digit growth in December 2025, driven by strong performance across its budget-oriented A, F, and M series, alongside a sustained focus on its flagship Galaxy S series. Apple grew 21% YoY in December 2025, supported by deeper expansion in smaller cities via multi-brand outlets and premium resellers, allowing it to capture year-end upgrade demand even in a seasonally softer month. This highlights Apples continued premiumization-led growth and improving reach beyond metro markets. Online share declined to 30% in 2025, as inventory levels in the online channel remained elevated. Heavy online stocking during the Sep–Nov festive period continued to convert into sales. After the festive season, demand gradually shifted back toward offline channels, where price negotiation and bundling remained strong.
