Smartwatch Shipment Forecast by Brand Region, March 2026 update

Overview:

Global smartwatch shipments rose 2% YoY in Q4 2025, maintaining rebound momentum from the prior quarter. HLOS smartwatches grew 1% YoY. Although Apple saw strong demand, shipment declines from Huawei and Samsung limited overall segment growth. Basic smartwatches increased 16% YoY, driven by Xiaomi's Redmi Watch 5, follwed be Xiaomi Watch S4 series. After eight quarters of continuous growth, Kids' smartwatches declined 16% YoY, due to the decline in Imoo smartwatch shipments.​

Regionally, India's local brands continued to weaken with 8% YoY shipment drop in Q4 2025, and a 24% full-year decline in 2025 amid competition and margin pressures, with fewer new entrants expected. OEMs are shifting toward premium segments featuring advanced sensors. North America led with 13% YoY growth. majorly driven by Apple's refresh portfolio. EU shipments also grew by 5% YoY, owing to Apple's new line up's adoption. With shipments declining across leading Chinese brands, including Huawei, Imoo, and Xiaomi, the China region posted flat YoY growth. This marks a significant slowdown, ending a ten-quarter growth streak that lasted from Q2 2023 to Q3 2024.
