Overview: China, India, and Vietnam together produced more than 90% of global smartphones in 2025, mainly due to the differing performances of the Chinese and Indian markets. We found that smartphone production is concentrated in a specific region mainly due to the production conditions and export costs there, in addition to local demand/consumption, according to Counterpoint Research’s latest update on the global smartphone manufacturing allocation report.
