Global AR/VR Market Insights and Development Trends, Q4 2025

0
March 11, 2026

Overview:

In Q4 2025, global VR headset shipments declined 44% YoY, primarily due to the high base effect in the year-ago period following the launch of the Quest 3S MR headset by Meta. In full-year 2025, global VR headset shipments declined 28% YoY, in line with our earlier expectations. In contrast to the slowdown in VR, global shipments of AR smart glasses grew 130% YoY and 71% QoQ in Q4 2025. The strong YoY growth was primarily driven by new product launches from OEMs, aggressive promotions during Black Friday and the holiday season, and the rising demand for waveguide-based AR smart glasses. For full-year 2025, the global AR smart glasses shipment grew by 108% YoY.
