"Samsung Electronics has appointed Roh Tae-moon as the new CEO for the mobile phone division of the company. Roh Tae-moon is said to be a contributor in cutting costs in a competitive smartphone market by outsourcing some of the handset production to ODMs. The shift in management suggests the path Samsung is taking to counter competition in important markets like India and China.
While there will continue to be a focus on engineering high-end products in the premium segment with Galaxy S series and a new foldable device from the company, we will also see Samsung producing more mid- to low-end devices with Chinese ODMs, potentially helping it to cut costs and increase profitability." – Shobhit Srivastava
