"From a business standpoint, this is a very good move made by Samsung. It is evident from the smartphone sales that camera features are a differentiator, with Galaxy A9 and Galaxy A7 being quite popular with their superior camera features. With this acquisition, Samsung is eyeing to bolster its dominance in the camera front with emphasis on the software and AI parts.
However, it will be interesting to see if Samsung will alter the business model. Whether it will be projected as a "Camera Designing Leader" or just an internal "R&D Center" providing expertise for Samsung's own models. But looking at Samsung's history, they will want to milk every cow in the farm." – Prachir Singh
