"NVIDIA said that it will acquire Mellanox for US$6.9 Billion to boost its data center business. Mellanox has a market capitalization of around US$6 Billion and is the dominant supplier of InfiniBand technology, a networking standard commonly used in supercomputers. NVIDIA is witnessing a decline in the gaming GPU business in recent quarters. The advent of cloud gaming means that the decline will continue. It wants to increase this share." – Prachir Singh
