“Bounce just raised series D funding with a valuation at $500m, from ~$200m in June 2019. These are good signs for a shared mobility company, especially one operating in India where things like infrastructure challenges, pollution, and road safety are problems. Bounce is in six cities in India and partners with over 250,000 small shops to get its fleet operating smoothly. It also allows micro-entrepreneurs to add their own bikes to the Bounce fleet, creating opportunities for many to earn extra income. Bounce has plans to incorporate its own electric scooters into the fleet, using a rugged design to address durability concerns. Shared mobility is a big opportunity and Bounce is seeking to capitalize on it in the Indian market.” – Maurice Klaehne
