Overview:
According to the latest research from Counterpoint’s IoT Security Service, global sales of smartphones with embedded hardware security (secure smartphones) grew 39% year-on-year (YoY) in 2019. Systems based on a secure element accounted for 89% of shipments, while those with a PUF represented 10% of secure smartphone sales in 2019. One-third of global smartphones sold with embedded hardware security in 2019, Apple leads with 42% market share. The tracker analyses smartphones' security at brand, model and chipset level. Further, it also reflects the secure smartphone sales penetration at a brand level.
