"China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) has lowered the forecast for China’s 2019 new-vehicle sales to 26.68 million, a 4.7% decline from 2018, as against an earlier projection of remaining at last year’s level of 28 million. This adjustment to forecast has been necessitated with domestic new-vehicle market volumes continuing to trend lower than expected for the first six months of this year. New light-vehicle sales in China have declined 5.4% to 22.44 million, and new commercial-vehicle are down by 3 percent, to 4.24 million. On a brighter note, however, EVs – including full-electric vehicles, plug-in hybrids, and fuel cell vehicles- are expected to grow by 19%, to around 1.5 million." – Vinay Piparsania
