India Smartphone market shipments declined by 3% YoY in April 2024. vivo retained its top spot 19% share in Apr 2024. It launched Y series, V series as well as T series models during the month. Samsung’s share (19%) April 2024 was its highest since September 2023, helping it capture second position in the smartphone market. For the first time this year, Galaxy A15 5G wasn’t Samsung’s most shipped model. realme was the fastest growing player out of the top 5 with 14% YoY growth in April 2024. Smartphone Sales Began Picking Up After Week 16, Market Set to Rise During the 618 Shopping Festival

Overview:

Smartphone sales plummeted to a year-to-date low in Week 15, but began rising from Week 16 onwards. Remarkably, Week 18 saw a significant 30% WoW and 18% YoY growth driven by strong promotions during the Labor Day holiday.
