India’s smartphone shipments declined 3% YoY in January 2022 due to a decline in demand post-festive season. Also, many brands are plagued by supply issues due to component shortages.
Consumer demand remained low during January 2022, amidst rising infections during the COVID-19 Omicron wave. Restrictions were imposed in multiple parts of the country which impacted offline sales.
