Overview:
This survey was planned and executed to quantitatively check consumers' responses to foldable products in major global markets. So far, the foldable market is still a niche market within the smartphone market, so we believed that the opinions of non-foldable owners for foldable are also important along with foldable owners’. For that reason, A total of 3,000 people, 1,000 people each in the United States, China, and Korea, where responses to foldable smartphones are high, were investigated for their reactions to foldable smartphones. In particular, this survey tried to include a large number of current iOS owners to capture the reactions of actual premium smartphone owners to foldable smartphones.
Through this survey, we confirmed that consumers' awareness of foldables in major smartphone markets has greatly improved, and we also confirmed that the proportion of considering foldable products when changing their next smartphone has increased significantly. In addition, we were able to confirm customer requests for improvement in various points such as foldable specs and prices. This information is expected to be of great help in establishing policies and strategies for foldable products in the future.
