Dish Ends Q4 2022 With 8 Million Subscribers, Looks Forward to National Rollout of Boost Infinite in Q1 2023

Overview:

Dish ended 2022 with just under 8 million subscribers but remains optimistic for 2023 as it looks to turn the tide with the national launch of Boost Infinite in Q1 2023 and its goal of 70% US coverage by June 2023. With the expansion of its own 5G network, Dish will begin heavily marketing its consumer and business 5G use cases. Dish’s Q4 2022 equipment revenue was very weak, down 84% YoY. The recent cybersecurity attack that Dish was victim to in late February may cause investors to lose confidence in the company’s ability to execute in 2023. Consumer churn will also be an issue in Q1 2023 as the network outages affected many consumers’ ability to pay bills, activate devices and contact customer support.
