Overview: India's smartphone market shipments declined by 4% YoY in October 2024 due to excess inventory in the market. vivo emerged as the top brand during the month with a 18% share. Lean inventory and better product portfolio management helped the brand exit the festive season sales period at a better position than the competitors. Apple moved up to the fourth spot with 14% share in Oct 2024, iPhone 15, and iPhone 14 continued to perform well during the festive sale, it was also the first full month sale of the iPhone 16 series in the market. Online shipment share declined to 40% in Oct 2024, as more brands enter the offline market with new launches, Xiaomi was one of the bigger brands which has extensively focused on the offline channel for the past few months.
