Global Smartwatch Shipment Forecast by Operating System, December 2025 Update

0
December 17, 2025

Overview: HLOS smartwatches are expected to register a CAGR growth of 7% based on shipment between 2025 and 2030. Wear OS shipments declined year-on-year in Q3 2025 due to reduced Samsung smartwatch shipments. However, the growth of Wear OS is expected in coming years, driven by increased shipments of Google smartwatches that are received well with the introduction of Pixel Watch 4 model. Harmony OS recorded significant growth, primarily driven by Huawei’s strong performance in China. Most major Indian brands, which use proprietary operating systems, are now revising their strategies to better target consumers, as demand weakens due to limited innovation and longer replacement cycles in the basic segment. Looking ahead, Watch OS is expected to sustain the leadership, supported by Apple’s latest lineup — including the Watch Series 11, Watch Ultra 3, and Watch SE 3. This Excel report provides a detailed smartwatch shipment forecast segmented by operating system, brand, and device type through 2030.
