Overview:
In Q2 2025, global VR headset shipments declined 2% YoY and 15% QoQ. The YoY decline narrowed compared to the previous quarter. By segment, standalone VR shipments grew slightly, increasing 1% YoY, supported by relatively stable shipments from Meta and Apple. Global shipments of AR smart glasses grew 74% YoY in Q2 2025. The strong YoY growth was primarily driven by a relatively small base in the same period last year, along with new product launches from leading OEMs RayNeo and Xreal. In the VR display market, Sharp and JDI remained dominant; in the AR smart glasses display segment, Sony, SeeYa, and JBD continued to lead. In this report, we have further lowered our 2025 forecast for global VR headset shipments. Our 2026 forecast has also been slightly revised downward. In contrast, our forecast for the AR smart glasses market has been revised upwards
