SK hynix’s DRAM revenue for Q3 2025 grew 11% QoQ and 54% YoY to reach $13.7 billion, maintaining its No.1 position in the DRAM market for three consecutive quarters with a 35% revenue share, according to Counterpoint Research’s Memory Tracker. Driven by strong performance in both HBM (High Bandwidth Memory) and general-purpose DRAM (Dynamic Random-Access Memory) during the quarter, the company also achieved its highest-ever quarterly DRAM revenue. Samsung ranked second in terms of revenues with a 34% share, growing 29% QoQ and 24% YoY to narrow the gap with SK hynix by 5% points from last year.
DRAM Market Share by Revenue, Q3 2024 – Q3 2025

While SK hynix ceded the top spot in the overall memory market to Samsung Electronics this quarter, it continued to lead the DRAM segment, supported by robust demand for both HBM and general DRAM. In the HBM market, SK hynix held a dominant 58% share, maintaining clear leadership. HBM accounted for 40% of SK hynix’s total DRAM sales in Q3. The company is also expected to deliver HBM4 products smoothly in line with customer requirements. In the general-purpose DRAM segment, stronger demand and rising prices contributed to the company’s solid performance.
“SK hynix is expected to continue its strong performance in the fourth quarter as AI memory demand remains high. The company is responding well to evolving customer requirements in HBM4 development and remains a leader in yield performance,” said Jeongku Choi, Research Analyst at Counterpoint Research.
