India Smartphone market shipments declined by 3% YoY in April 2024. vivo retained its top spot 19% share in Apr 2024. It launched Y series, V series as well as T series models during the month. Samsung’s share (19%) April 2024 was its highest since September 2023, helping it capture second position in the smartphone market. For the first time this year, Galaxy A15 5G wasn’t Samsung’s most shipped model. realme was the fastest growing player out of the top 5 with 14% YoY growth in April 2024. It has been focusing on 5G with C-series models and also launched a performance centric new P series into the market. Online channel share increased from previous month to reach 41% in April 2024 as brands filled in channels for summer sale ahead. Vivo led in Mar 2024 with 21% share driven by the Y and V series, additionally vivo also led the quarterly shipment with 19% share. Xiaomi secured the second spot with 18% share; it is being aggressive in pursuing multi-channel strategy by increasing the number of offline store representatives and working to enhance its financing model.
