This year’s CES made it clear that robotics is no longer a side story. From factory floors to homes and hospitals, companies unveiled robots designed not just to impress, but to work in the real world. Humanoid robots, in particular, showed up with stronger bodies, better AI and clearer use cases, moving beyond lab demos. The big question now is whether this marks the true start of the humanoid era or simply the moment when AI, hardware and labor shortages finally aligned. As many players are preparing for scale, we can see robotics shifting from experimentation to execution.

After tracking announcements both on the show floor and online, we identified over 160 robotics-related updates from this year’s CES. Among them, humanoid and industrial robots clearly stood out as the most active categories, which explains the growing volume of news around these two areas. We are also expecting that logistics will be one of the major application areas for humanoid robots. In terms of countries of origin, China accounted for about 40% of the announcements, followed by the US with roughly 25%. We also saw Chinese companies such as AgiBot making their US debut at CES, highlighting a broader push toward global expansion to achieve scale.
• Boston Dynamics signals industrial-scale humanoid deployment with Atlas
Boston Dynamics’ CES announcements marked a decisive shift from experimentation to industrial execution. The company confirmed it would soon begin manufacturing the product version of its humanoid robot, with initial deployments scheduled for 2026 at Hyundai and Google DeepMind, followed by other customers. Atlas will be trained using new AI foundation models designed to handle a wide range of industrial tasks, starting with automotive use cases. From an analyst's perspective, the most important signal is scale. Hyundai Motor Group, Boston Dynamics’ majority shareholder, is preparing to deploy tens of thousands of robots across its factories and has committed $26 billion to US operations, including a new robotics facility capable of producing 30,000 robots annually. This anchors humanoids firmly in real-world manufacturing economics.

• NVIDIA positions Physical AI and simulation as the core of scalable robotics
NVIDIA made an important set of robotics announcements that clarify where the real leverage in this field is shifting. Rather than chasing robot form factors, NVIDIA focused on the intelligence layer with new Physical AI models such as Isaac GR00T N1.6, Cosmos Predict, Cosmos Reason, and simulation tools built on Isaac Sim and Omniverse. The emphasis on training robots to perceive, reason and act across diverse physical tasks reflects a push toward general-purpose capability, especially for humanoids. Partnerships with companies like Boston Dynamics, NEURA Robotics and Agility Robotics show growing ecosystem alignment. Moreover, NVIDIA’s GPUs, simulation tools and AI models shorten development cycles and de-risk deployment.

• Qualcomm expands edge-AI roots to become a core platform for next-gen robotics
Qualcomm took a big step from enabling edge AI toward enabling real-world robots with its newly unveiled Dragonwing IQ10 robotics platform and processors designed to serve everything from industrial autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) to full-size humanoids. Building on earlier robotics work such as the Qualcomm Robotics RB5, RB6 and RB1/RB2 platforms and years of edge-AI leadership, Qualcomm showcased Dragonwing-powered demos, including humanoids from partners like VinMotion and Booster, alongside development kits from Advantech and AutoCore. The company is also expanding collaborations with players such as Figure, KUKA Robotics and Robotec.ai to build a scalable physical AI ecosystem. By focusing on power-efficient, scalable AI compute and perception stacks, Qualcomm is positioning itself as a key enabler of deployable, general-purpose robotics beyond labs into industrial and service environments. As the smartphone market is reaching maturity and we are witnessing more in-house SoC development efforts from smartphone OEMs, AI and robotics will be one of the important areas for business diversification.

• AgiBot signals humanoid scale-up with US debut and production-ready robotics lineup
AgiBot marked its US debut with a fully built-out humanoid robotics lineup, showcasing the A2, X2 and G2 humanoids alongside a quadruped platform and new Genie Sim 3.0 open-source simulation tools. AgiBot’s shift from R&D to real-world readiness, backed by more than 5,000 robots rolled off the production line, signals tangible progress in embodied AI and scalable deployment rather than isolated demos. Integrated simulation, cross-platform learning and open ecosystem support position AgiBot as a notable contender in general-purpose humanoids.

- Mobileye’s Mentee acquisition highlights convergence of autonomous vehicles and robotics AI
At CES 2026, Mobileye announced its acquisition of Mentee Robotics for $900 million in cash and shares. Mentee, a four-year-old robotics startup, was founded by Mobileye CEO Amnon Shashua together with Lior Wolf and Shai Shalev-Shwartz. With the VLA model emerging as a viable solution for Physical AI, robots and autonomous vehicles share a highly overlapping technology stack, encompassing perception hardware, computing power, and algorithms. For Mobileye, the acquisition of Mentee provides a shortcut to enter the robotics industry. For Mentee, on the other hand, Mobileye can offer it an integrated embodied brain combining computing power and algorithms.
It is no longer news that autonomous vehicle enterprises are branching into the robotics industry. Tesla plans to mass-produce the Optimus V3 in 2026, while Xpeng unveiled its new-generation Iron Robot in 2025. As a leading supplier of AI computing and autonomous driving chips, NVIDIA has long launched a full-stack toolchain and hardware solutions for the robotics sector. The alliance between Mobileye and Mentee is bound to bring new competition to these enterprises, but at the same time, the TAM advantages of China-based companies and the technological advantages of US-based companies will challenge the growth of new contenders.

- NEURA Robotics positions Neuraverse as operating layer for next-gen humanoid robots
NEURA Robotics turned heads by unveiling its next-generation humanoid 4NE1, the compact 4NE1 Mini, and a new quadruped robot – all powered by its shared intelligence platform Neuraverse. Live demos showed robots that learn collectively, adapt on the fly and operate across industrial, service and household environments. NEURA’s evolution reflects more than product polish; it’s the culmination of strategic moves such as acquiring ek robotics to bolster mobile autonomy and partnering with Schaeffler and GFT for cognitive and industrial automation. These collaborations show NEURA isn’t just building robots, it’s building the software-defined infrastructure future robotics will run on.

- Fourier showcases GR-3 Care-bot, signaling humanoid readiness for healthcare and service use
Fourier made a memorable US debut with its GR‑3 Care‑bot, a full-size humanoid designed for natural, human-centric interactions like chatting, playing chess and even dancing, showcasing perception, balance and adaptive AI. The GR‑3 builds on Fourier’s GRx lineage, evolving from the mass-produced GR‑1 and GR‑2 and open-source initiatives like the compact N1, fostering developer engagement. To date, Fourier has served over 2,000 medical institutions and enterprise clients across over 40 countries, and partnered with more than 20 universities, research institutes and tech companies worldwide. Its CES appearance underscores a global push as an embodied-intelligence solutions provider, rooted in rehab and eldercare, focused on interaction, and demonstrating readiness for real-world adoption.

- Universal Robots advances cobots with digital twin-driven palletizing at industrial scale
Universal Robots showcased the next evolution of collaborative automation with a UR20 cobot-based palletizing solution developed with Robotiq and Siemens. The system integrates Robotiq’s PAL Ready cell with Siemens’ Digital Twin Composer, connecting digital simulation to real-world operations for flexible, high-efficiency pallet handling. Building on decades of democratizing cobots, UR highlights how platform integration, ecosystem partnerships and AI-enabled control are turning collaborative robots into scalable solutions for modern logistics and industrial workflows.

- ECOVACS Robotics expands beyond vacuums toward full-scenario home robotics ecosystem
ECOVACS Robotics made a splash with a broad vision of full‑scenario service robotics, extending well beyond vacuuming into window cleaning, lawn mowing, pool care, and even robotic companionship with its first LilMilo pet bot – a sign that service robots are entering the era of embodied intelligence. ECOVACS showcased the DEEBOT T90 PRO OMNI and DEEBOT X12 Family with upgraded OZMO ROLLER 3.0 mopping tech, plus ULTRAMARINE pool and GOAT lawn robots, building on deep category leadership backed by over 1.6 million OZMO sales worldwide and 10 years atop China’s robotic vacuum market. CES highlighted the company’s strategy of diversified, user-centric robotics, rooted in proprietary navigation, perception and automation tech and signaling a shift from single-function tools to a holistic home robotics ecosystem.

- Schaeffler showcases humanoid actuators, signaling shift from components to industrial humanoid robotics enabler
At CES 2026, Schaeffler stepped into the robotics spotlight by showcasing its planetary gear actuator designed specifically for humanoid robots. It is a compact, high‑precision motion system that integrates gearbox, motor, encoder and controller in one unit to address one of robotics’ toughest bottlenecks. Building on its deep history in motion technology and partnerships like its strategic collaboration with Neura Robotics to jointly develop actuators and deploy humanoids in global production networks, Schaeffler is positioning itself as a key enabler of industrial-grade humanoid adoption. The company also highlighted autonomous material handling solutions and intelligent automation components that bridge traditional manufacturing with AI-assisted robotics. The CES showcase reflected a shift from component supplier to motion‑technology pioneer shaping how robots move in the real world, underscoring robotics’ dependence on precision mechanics and scalable hardware.
