The Interview

Key Takeaways

– AI PC market, is still in the deployment stage, with many component vendors actively participating. In the next year, more momentum from the OEM side is expected, with leading players such as Lenovo, HP, Dell, and ASUS introducing more AI PC-related portfolios.
– AI PC will certainly redefine both the user interface and user interaction. These devices will be more user-friendly, and in terms of customer adoption, the redefinition will be characterized by five Cs – Content discovery, content aggregation, content creation, customization, and camera enhancement.
– Arm-based PCs are expected to capture around 43% share in 2024. However, shipments from the largest OEMs will continue to utilize the X86 architecture, and increased momentum from X86 is anticipated starting in 2025, with Intel Panthera Lake and AMD Streaks Point and Kraken Point expected to be major volume contributors in the coming period.
– As Qualcomm continues to invest and leverage its clout in smartphone technology, the adoption of ARM-based PCs powered by Qualcomm is expected to rise.
– For AI PC, large storage capacity is essential to run certain predefined algorithms. Thus, a large battery, good input sources like camera sensors and microphones, and strong connectivity are required. Memory enhancement will also be seen in the coming period.
