"Apple is looking for 2020 to be the breakout year for both 5G and its new iPhones. This will help Apple boost its waning sales in the US and China as these will be the two hottest big markets for 5G in 2020. The key question, however, is not the total amount of devices, but the mix of 5G band support that Apple will have for the three iPhones that will likely debut in September 2020. Smartphone makers are currently either opting for sub-6 GHz or mmWave frequencies, with dual support being an added cost factor that OEMs are currently avoiding." – Maurice Klaehne
