After a failed first attempt for a merger in 2017, T-Mobile and Sprint tried again in the Spring of 2018. Fifteen months later, the duo is getting closer to its goal of merging. The Department of Justice gave its blessing for the two carriers two to merge, subject to a list of conditions. Now, all that remains is convincing ten US states who have lawsuits to block the merger. All players acknowledge there remains a chance the deal still falls through for numerous reasons.
