"As part of an agreement signed during Auto Shanghai 2019, Intel and GWM will co-develop intelligent cockpits and smart traffic applications as part of their joint efforts towards developing autonomous driving. Powered by Intel’s Apollo Lake System-on-Chip (SoC) solution, GWM’s premium SUV, WEY, will be among the first vehicles, with an Android 8.0 O-MR1-version-based vehicle-mounted intelligent terminal. Over 2019 and 2020, five automotive OEMs in China are expected to offer their models with the same Apollo Lake system. Intel is strategically looking to advance into in-vehicle solutions in areas of infotainment, digital instrument clusters, and advanced driver assistance systems." – Vinay Piparsania
