Overview:
India Smartphone market shipments declined by 2% YoY in June 2024. Shipments improved compared to previous months as the end of second quarter bought about a relief in heatwave conditions and some aggressive promotions by OEMs. Indian smartphone market ASP remained almost flattish with slight 2% YoY growth (Retail) and reached to $267 in June 2024. Though the ultra-premium segment >$650 witnessed growth, it’s the premium segment $400-$650 which declined and reduced the ASP this month.
$150-$250 price band continued to dominate the smartphone market in June, capturing a 33% market share. Oppo emerged in the price band and led the segment with 21% market share
