Summary:
Qualcomm: Qualcomm is the largest contributor to the global smartphone AP/SoC and baseband revenues. Qualcomm’s revenue declined in Q1 2024 due to seasonality and the slowing momentum of Snapdragon 800 series chipsets.
MediaTek: MediaTek captured the third position of the total global smartphone AP/SoC and baseband revenues. The AP/SoC and baseband revenues for MediaTek declined QoQ in Q1 2024 after a strong restocking demand in Q4 2023.
Apple: Apple is the second largest contributor in the global AP/SoC revenue market in Q1 2024, but the revenues declined sequentially due to seasonality.
UNISOC: A larger part of the revenues is driven by the 4G AP/SoCs which have grown significantly over the past years. UNISOC continues to gain share in the low bands (<$99) driven by the LTE portfolio.
Samsung Exynos: Samsung revenues have also increased QoQ in Q1 2024 due to the launch of Exynos 2400 with Samsung Galaxy S24. The launch of the Samsung Galaxy M14 series with Exynos 1330 and Samsung Galaxy A54 series with Exynos 1380 has also added volumes to the overall Samsung chipset segments.
