The Automotive Industry is moving towards an era where it will rely on Telecom companies for seamless data services for vehicles. Towards this indicative trend, AT&T and Porche have signed multi-year contract where AT&T providing 4G LTE services to select connected Porsche vehicles in the US. AT&T accounts for 50% of the connected car market and the number is expected to reach 70% by 2018. AT&T Drive is the company’s connected car platform – a modular, global solution that allows automakers to pick and choose which services and capabilities are important to them in order to differentiate their solutions in the market.
