Overview: Chinese tablet OEMs accounted for almost one-fifth of the global tablet shipments in Q1 2024. In addition to the entrance of multiple market entrants in the form of established Chinese smartphone OEMs in the 2021-2022 period, 2023 saw large structural changes and shifts in consumer preferences in China’s domestic market. This helped existing and new Chinese players capture an increasingly larger piece of the tablet market pie. Now, with strategies oriented towards further expansion in the global tablet market stage, outlooks remain optimistic but limited.
