Overview:
T-Mobile posted strong Q2 2024 results capturing more postpaid net adds that Verizon and AT&T combined. It officially infused Mint and Ultra Mobile subscribers into its prepaid base after the regulatory approval of the acquisitions. This put even more distance between T-Mobile and the others as the leader in the US prepaid space.
While net add growth in the FWA segment has slowed slightly, T-Mobile is still adding subscribers at a healthy rate. Churn continues to decline in the high-speed internet segment for T-Mobile. T-Mobile and KKR have entered into another joint venture to acquire Metronet and add 2 million fiber passings across 17 states to its portfolio. The deal is worth $4.9 billion and transfers 100% of residential fiber retail operations and customers to T-Mobile/KKC.
