Oct 30, 2024

Overview:
The smartphone replacement cycle has become longer due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Russia-Ukraine war and the subsequent rise in energy prices, and macro headwinds in recent years. On top of these, there is the continuing trend of many users being content with their existing devices as new devices are not drastically different than the previous ones in terms of the experience they offer. As a result, the global smartphone replacement cycle recorded a high of 43 months in 2023.
