Smartphone shipments in Latin America (LATAM) fell 4.8% QoQ but climbed 14% YoY in Q2 2024. The YoY growth was driven by increased competition from Chinese OEMs in the low-price smartphone market that fueled higher demand. In Q1 2024, OEMs built inventory for Mother’s and Father’s Day due to which shipments decreased sequentially in Q2 2024.
