As per the latest research from Counterpoint’s IoT Service, India smartband shipment grew 115 YoY growth in 2019. Though India Smartband market is growing at a robust pace, it still remains a niche segment in India. 2020 might be a turnaround year for segment as smartphone OEMs are now focusing on to leverage their brand equity in this segment. Xiaomi leading the segment grew 91 % YoY in 2019. Xiaomi which have enjoyed unchallenged leadership position for long in India Smartband market might face stiff competition from realme as the latter is also known for affordable pricing with strong value proposition in Smartphone market.
