Overview:
India Smartphone market is estimated to grow at double digits for the next two years as there are still first-time smartphone users who can be tapped along with the users using older 2G and 3G smartphones. 2019 is going to be a growth year for major incumbent brands such as Samsung which is likely to grow due to the change in their product strategy. Chinese players like Xiaomi, Huawei, vivo and OPPO will also grow. The local brands are facing competition from the emergence of these Chinese brands as some of them like Tecno and iTel are competing in similar price segments.
