Global Smartwatch Market Analysis: Q4 2021

Overview:

In Q4 2021, the market grew 21% YoY, reaching its highest ever quarterly shipments at 42.4 million units with the launch of the Apple Watch 7 series and the continued strength of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4. New releases from major brands such as Huawei and Xiaomi also played a role.

Shipments of Basic and HLOS smartwatches increased by 82% YoY and 14% YoY respectively. These two types of smartwatches  are gradually becoming dominant in the market. The Basic type showed big growth thanks to Indian local kings and long tail brands.
