Global Handset Production Report 2021

Overview:

China, Vietnam, India and Indonesia accounted for more than 90% of the global handset production in 2021. We found that handset production is concentrated in a specific region mainly due to the production conditions and export costs there.

Although there may be no significant overall change, many changes constantly take place at the country level. We believe there are three factors behind this. The first factor is the phenomenon of the rising economic blocs around the world. The second factor is the dispersion of production areas for a stable supply of products. The third factor is the policy of encouraging domestic smartphone production in other countries.
