Global Foldable Smartphone Market Forecast, Q1 2024
Overview:
Global foldable smartphone shipments increased 50% YoY in Q1 2024 to reach 3.09 million units. This was mainly due to 1) a 6% YoY rise in the overall Q1 2024 global smartphone shipments, reaching 296.9 million units; 2) some improvement in consumer confidence underpinned by improving macroeconomic conditions; and 3) the rapid growth in foldable smartphone shipments of Chinese OEMs such as Huawei, HONOR and Motorola. We forecast the global foldable market to reach over 21 m units in 2024, up 34.8% from the previous year.
