Canada smartphone sales are expected to decline this year. The cut to international students, the housing crisis, increased carbon tax are a few ways in which the average Canadian will feel the impact on their disposable income.

Carriers have made adaptations to this changing market like BYOD promotions, bundling broadband and mobility to try to mitigate the high churn that has been seen within carriers and introducing new cost-effective devices that are exclusive in prepaid channels.
