Previously, he founded ran and sold DisplaySearch which he started with less than $500 in capital and grew to over $10M in revenues. He has also worked throughout the display supply chain including at a TV brand, panel supplier, multiple equipment suppliers and a materials supplier. Ross has spoken at all the leading display related conferences including keynoting SID’s Display Week 2023 with over 1500 attendees and has been quoted in all major business publications. Ross has started and sold three companies and also published a book on the semiconductor industry after completing graduate school at UCSD and Japan’s Tohoku University. The book is entitled Silicon Sumo: US-Japan Competition and Industrial Policy in the Semiconductor Equipment Industry and was published by the University of Texas.

On-Site Monday, May 13, 2024 About Bob: Robert J (Bob) O’Brien is Co-Founder, Principal Consultant and CFO of DSCC. Bob has decades of experience turning market and business analysis into strategic insights in the display and electronics industries. At DSCC, Bob takes the lead role in analysis of display materials, including glass and AMOLED materials, and covers developments in TV and other large-screen display applications. He authors several reports and contributes regularly to the DSCC Weekly Review.
At Corning, Bob led the CGT intelligence team in building critical tools for analysis of both short- and long-term dynamics in the LCD industry. In response to Corning’s vulnerability to supply/demand swings, Bob developed an analytical model for predicting glass demand based on the supply/demand dynamics of the LCD value chain. To increase understanding of the long-term dynamics of TV replacement, Bob led the efforts on consumer survey work to understand the replacement cycle of TV. As the cover glass market matured, Bob led the effort to explore and develop the Gorilla glass business in emerging markets.
At LG.Philips and Philips, Bob led a cross-division team evaluating six different display technologies for the large-screen TV market.

On-Site Monday, May 13, 2024 About Guillaume: He first started working in display technology when he joined Plastic Logic (now FlexEnable) as an engineer to develop the first flexible e-paper display. That’s when he attended Display Week for the first time and became fascinated by this industry. After Plastic Logic, he became an analyst for IDTechEx and covered the progress of OLED and quantum dot displays, as well as the emerging sensors and haptics integrated in flat panels. He spoke at several international conference on printed and flexible electronics and regularly travelled to the USA, Japan, Korea and France to visit suppliers. In 2018 he started an independent consultancy on emerging materials and devices.
