Top 3 BEV Players:
BYD Auto: In Q4 2024, BYD's sales increased by 13% YoY, overtaking Tesla’s sales. The Seagull, Yuan Plus (Atto 3) and Dolphin were the company’s top-selling models. BYD exported almost 120,000 vehicles, including plug-in hybrids, during the quarter. Of these exports, one-third were sold in Latin America, 30% in Europe and 18% in Southeast Asia.
Tesla: Tesla’s sales in Q4 2024 increased by a modest 2% YoY. The Model Y and Model 3 retained their positions as the best-selling EV models worldwide.
Geely Holdings: Geely’s BEV sales grew by a whopping 84% YoY in Q4 2024. Zeekr, Galaxy, Geometry and Geely branded EVs together made up nearly 60% of the OEM’s BEV sales. The Galaxy E5, Geely Xingyuan and Panda Mini were the top-selling BEV models, collectively representing over 40% of Geely’s BEV sales.
