Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite Compute Platform brings ARM-based processors for Windows PCs and aims to deliver a powerful performance with better efficiency. Capable of running on-device generative AI models up to 13 billion parameters, and generating 30 tokens per second for seven billion large language models (LLMs). Its Hexagon NPU can deliver peak AI computing performance of 45 TOPS, and between the CPU, GPU, and NPU, the SoC can offer peak AI computing performance of 75 TOPS.

The Snapdragon Summit 2023 also saw several partners talking about the experiences they will bring to the PCs powered by the Snapdragon X Elite platform. We had an opportunity to chat with Dave Lebolt, the Head of Strategy for DaVinci Systems at BlackMagic Design. Dave shared some interesting insights on how they are optimizing the DaVinci Resolve app to offer the best video editing experience for content creators, the kind of AI experiences that you can expect in DaVinci Resolve Studio, on-device generative AI, and much more. He also talks about including innovative features in Davinci Resolve like denoise, scene relighting, automatic subtitling, voice isolation, dialogue leveling, and the powerful Magic Mask feature.
