Smartwatch Shipment Forecast by Brand Region, September 2025 Update

0
September 2, 2025

Overview: Global smartwatch shipments increased 8% year-over-year (YoY) to 34.4 million units in Q2 2025, recovering after five quarters of decline since Q1 2024. HLOS smartwatch shipments grew 10% YoY, led by Huawei, Garmin, and Amazfit, while Apple and Samsung each saw a 3% YoY shipment decrease. Basic smartwatch shipments rose 1% YoY, driven by global demand for Xiaomi’s Redmi Watch Series. Kids’ smartwatch shipments grew 17% YoY, with Imoo maintaining its lead in the segment.

Regionally, a slowdown in India’s local smartwatch brands and a decline in North America (NAM) contributed to the market’s challenges. India’s market is expected to decline 11% YoY in 2025 due to competition and lower margins, with fewer new entrants anticipated. OEMs are likely to focus on higher-priced segments with improved sensors and features to meet consumer demand. China, however, reported 37% YoY shipment growth, driven by Huawei’s feature-rich HLOS smartwatches and Xiaomi’s budget models. Europe and Asia Pacific (excluding China and India) also saw shipment increases, supported by Chinese brands.

This Excel report provides the smartwatch shipment forecast by key brand and region until 2028 including its ASP.
