OPPO Group (OPPO, OnePlus and realme) is undertaking a major restructuring to improve efficiency and profitability through greater integration of software, R&D, procurement and platform development. A key pillar of this effort is the adoption of a unified ColorOS platform across all three brands, reducing development costs while improving software consistency. Shipments have been particularly strained in the sub-$200 segment, where much of OPPO's and realme's volume is concentrated. At the same time, performance across the portfolio has diverged, with OnePlus growing strongly, OPPO remaining relatively resilient and realme declining. By centralizing operations and sharpening brand positioning, OPPO aims to reduce costs, eliminate duplication, improve resource allocation and strengthen long-term profitability.
