April 14, 2026

Overview:

At last year’s GTC, Nvidia unveiled its first CPO-based switches, with two networking products: the Quantum-X800 InfiniBand switch, the world's first 1.6 Tb/s CPO-based switch and the Spectrum-X800 switch, an Ethernet-version of the same switch. At this year’s event, NVIDIA sketched out a much more detailed roadmap of its transition to optical networking - from the Blackwell and Rubin platforms to the Feynman platform, due to be launched in 2028. This report provides the essential details of how Nvidia will transition to an all-optical interconnect network.
