India Monthly Smartphone Model Tracker (Online Channels), March 2026
Overview
India smartphone market declined 5% YoY in March 2026, driven by a mix of supply-side cost pressures, OEM-led price hikes and weak consumer demand, which weighed on retail conversions across channels despite higher launch activity. vivo incl. iQOO continued to be the leader in March 2026, driven by an expanded product portfolio with a higher number of launches, strong traction in the mid-premium segment. Samsung ranked second in the market, with performance supported by traction in newly launched models such as the Galaxy S26 series, A37 5G, and A57 5G. This helped drive a 33% MoM growth in March 2026, partially offsetting slower momentum in some of its key models amid ongoing price adjustments. The online channel accounted for 34% of total shipments in March 2026. Samsung led the segment with a 23% share, driven by strong demand for its mass-market M and F series and supported by competitive pricing and a well-executed e-commerce strategy.
